Save the Date 2020-12-15 America/New_York Emerging Artists - ArtsCorps

Executive Director James Miles and his team of teaching artists at Arts Corps are actively making a difference in the lives of young people in Seattle, Washington. They are a force for justice in a region where race is the greatest predictor of whether a young person has access to an arts education. Through participation in their arts integration and/or out-of-school arts and teen leadership programs, Arts Corps is setting the stage for young people not just to experience the transformative power of their own creativity, but to gain a deepened belief in their own capacity to learn, take risks, persist, and achieve.

Arts Corps works with a number of very talented teaching artists who are also artists in their own right. This Emerging Artists program will shine a light on a few of them and the students they work with. Join Ricardo Khan and James Miles and see how the power of young people and their artist mentors is harnessed for positive change as they #MakeArtAnyway.
